Markéta Kalivodová
Markéta deals with materials' combination and experiments with technologies. Quality craftsmanship is her top priority. Thanks to her experience, she also holds the position of chief technologist in our studio. You can also find her work in her other studio Vobouch.
She studied the ceramics-oriented Secondary Vocational School of Arts and Design in Bechyně and in 2014 she graduated Ladislav Sutnar Faculty of Design and Art, The University of West Bohemia, Pilsen in the Ceramics studio. She currently holds the position of assistant professor in this studio. In 2015, she received an award for her diploma thesis in the National Prize for Student Design competition and her work was selected for the Diploma Selection of Designblok festival. She was nominated for the Czech Grand Design Award in the Discovery of the Year category with Vobouch studio. Her vases can be found in the permanent collections of the Museum of Decorative Arts in Prague, the Museum of West Bohemia and the Taoxichuan Ceramic Art Avenue in China.
